3 biggest 2022 Texas targets post-Early Signing Period
Earlier this week, head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff wrapped up a very busy Early Signing Period for the 2022 Texas football recruiting class. Texas was really busy for the first day of the signing period earlier this week, where they hauled in a whopping five commitments.
And three of those five commitments that Sark and the Longhorns pulled in on the first signing day for the 2022 class were flips from other Power Five schools. And two of the commitments that the Longhorns landed during the first signing day were blue-chips.
The two blue-chip commits that landed in the Longhorns 2022 class on the first signing day were four-star Little Elm cornerback and former Ohio State Buckeyes pledge Terrance Brooks and four-star Todd Beamer (WA) offensive tackle Malik Agbo.
Texas also landed the likes of the former Michigan Wolverines commit and three-star Westlake edge rusher Ethan Burke, three-star Grand Prairie wide receiver Savion Red, and former Oklahoma Sooners commit/three-star athlete/wide receiver Xavion Brice.
What lies ahead for Texas football in the 2022 class ahead of National Signing Day?
Sark and the Longhorns staff have definitely put together a special 2022 class through the conclusion of the first signing period. But there are still some remaining targets on the board for the Longhorns 2022 class ahead of National Signing Day 2022 in a couple of months.
Texas has also signed all but one of their commits in the 2022 class, with three-star Warren Easton cornerback Ronald Lewis being the only one not to have inked his National Letter of Intent.
With Texas likely still having at least a couple of spots available in the 2022 class after the first signing period, here’s a look at three of the biggest targets remaining ahead of National Signing Day.
