It is clear that the Longhorns coaching staff made it a priority to address the offensive line in the 2022 class. Texas hit the ground running ahead of the Early Signing Period last week to get numbers, and depth, in the 2022 class along the offensive line.

Offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood build some real momentum on the recruiting trail along the offensive line by landing commitments from the likes of five-star Summer Creek offensive tackle Kelvin Banks, four-star Allen OL Neto Umeozulu, and four-star Todd Beamer (WA) offensive tackle Malik Agbo, among others. Texas could still be after more depth along the offensive line, though.

It was clearly a mistake last offseason for the Longhorns not to get help along the offensive line out of the transfer portal. If Texas doesn’t land a commitment from the elite five-star Bowie interior offensive lineman Devon Campbell ahead of National Signing Day 2022, it would make more than enough sense to go after the former Minnesota Golden Gophers redshirt junior offensive guard Curtis Dunlap.

The expert 247Sports Transfer Crystal Ball Predictions in for Dunlap have him committing to Texas out of the portal right now.

As of this moment, it looks like there is already some sort of contact in place between Texas and Dunlap. If Texas misses on Campbell, expect that sort of communication to continue between these two parties.

Dunlap was up and down as a pass blocker for the Golden Gophers. But he was one of the highest-graded offensive linemen in run blocking for Minnesota in the last couple of seasons. Watch out for some communication to develop between Texas and his camp.
