Bobby Haskins, OT

There weren’t many more up and down upperclassmen offensive tackles in the ACC during the regular season than the former Virginia Cavaliers senior starter Bobby Haskins. Getting his shot as a starting offensive tackle on a consistent basis for the first time in two years, there were flashes that Haskins showed. But there wasn’t much of a consistent impact he made during the regular season.

Once the now-former UVA head coach Bronco Mendenhall left town in Charlottesville, VA, just ahead of the offseason, Haskins decided to put his name in the transfer portal.

It still looks like there’s a positive impact that the Longhorns can get if they land a commitment from Haskins out of the transfer portal this offseason. Haskins did allow a whopping 25 quarterback pressures in total this season, which is not the number the Longhorns will be looking for.

But the fact that Haskins was in the middle of the pack in terms of pass-blocking grade on a pretty solid offensive line in Charlottesville could still make for a step up compared to what Texas had this fall. That’s not to mention that Haskins is a solid run blocker who can work through multiple levels of opposing defenses too.

Haskins put his name in the transfer portal back on Dec. 6. And he has yet to find his next landing spot. Texas could be one to consider given the fact that the offensive tackle competition is going to be wide open on the Forty Acres in 2022.
