There is more and more news surrounding the situation with the former Big 12 football star quarterback of the Oklahoma Sooners and freshman breakthrough Caleb Williams in the NCAA Transfer Portal as this week moves along. The former elite five-star recruit and first-year Oklahoma quarterback made waves last week when he originally put his name in the transfer portal.
And it appears now that Williams is really starting to narrow down his decision as to where he will take his talents to next out of the transfer portal. Williams looked set to visit the USC Trojans this week as part of a California trip where he could see two schools.
The idea looked to be that Williams would visit both USC and the UCLA Bruins.
But the decision for Williams might be narrowing down faster than he could really get to process visits with USC and UCLA. The momentum looks to be growing in terms of USC getting more and more interest from Williams.

Former Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley always appeared to present a realistic landing spot for Williams out of the transfer portal early this offseason. And that could be the way that this plays out in the days and weeks ahead.

Williams will make waves with whatever school he decides to pick out of the transfer portal. And while it might be a little while longer before he officially announces his next destination out of the portal, USC is starting to look pretty good in pursuit of him recently.
As of late, Williams and his family are giving every indication that he has not made a decision yet. But the writing on the wall is starting to show up that the Trojans are the emerging favorite to land Williams’ commitment in the near future.
