Kyle Parker, WR

A name that looked to be on the radar of the Longhorns 2023 class for a good while now is the rising Lovejoy 5-foot-10 and 175-pound wide receiver Kyle Parker. There aren’t many better fits that the Longhorns could find at wideout for this cycle than Parker from what we see on film. This offer looks to come at the right time for Texas and Parker too.

Parker is a wide receiver prospect that should really see his offer sheet explode in the weeks to come. A lot of the significant offers he’s picked up during his recruitment thus far came since the beginning of December. He’s received offers from the Louisville Cardinals, Penn State Nittany Lions, Arkansas State Red Wolves, and now Texas since the start of December.

The scheme fit that the Longhorns could find between the Sark offense and Parker is seemingly very natural. Parker is a lanky and elusive wide receiver that fits a similar physical profile to that of four-star 2022 wide receiver signee Brenen Thompson and freshman breakout star Xavier Worthy.

While I’m not saying that Parker is the same as those two, he’s definitely got something that pops when watching his film in terms of how he could be so potent in Texas’ offensive system.

Look out for Parker to become one of the names to watch for the Longhorns 2023 class in the weeks and months ahead. You have to love the timing of this visit and offer to Parker when it seems like his recruitment could really heat up entering spring.
