The lone commit in the 2022 Texas football recruiting class that has yet to sign his National Letter of Intent is the three-star Warren Easton cornerback Ronald Lewis. It started to become clear that Texas wasn’t ready to get Lewis signed and enrolled yet once the Early Signing Period came and went last month.

With a big haul on the recruiting trail for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns 2022 class ahead of, and during, the first signing period, Lewis looked like he was left on the outside looking in. And that could be the case heading into National Signing Day next month.

And it looks like Lewis could soon have his next landing spot in store. New head coach Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs are now trending to land the commitment of Lewis ahead of National Signing Day early in February.

On Jan. 23, TCU sent out a scholarship offer to Lewis. And then the leading indicators started to pop up that the Horned Frogs could be where he ultimately lands. Lewis gave some indications on social media that he could have a decision in mind.
