3 March visitors that can help Texas land 5-Star QB Arch Manning
Braylon James, WR
One of the most highly rated wide receiver targets that have an offer from the Longhorns 2023 class at the moment is the touted four-star Del Valle product Braylon James. Texas is in the midst of a ton of big-time programs trying to eventually win the battle to land a commitment from James.
New wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion and the Longhorns will get their shot to make some strides in the recruitment of James in the very near future, though. James is set to visit Texas during the same weekend as Manning. That should create some buzz about the potential for Sark and the Longhorns at the skill positions with all of this blue-chip talent on campus at the same time.
James is definitely one of the most important wide receiver targets of the Longhorns 2023 class. He belongs in a similar conversation to the likes of four-star in-state products Johntay Cook and Jaquaize Pettaway in terms of where Texas is prioritizing their top wideout targets for this cycle.
Moreover, Texas was recently included in the top nine finalist schools that James announced on his Twitter timeline on March 4. Some other schools Texas is still battling in the race to land a commitment from James are the Texas A&M Aggies, LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
With Texas finding some momentum on the recruiting trail of late with James, this looks like the perfect time to continue to make the right impression with him while the potential quarterback he could be playing with at the next level will also be on the Forty Acres in the same weekend.
