Texas definitely has one of their top blue-chip offensive line targets of the 2023 class in store with the touted four-star Harker Heights (TX) interior offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman. As one of the top interior offensive linemen on the board for the Longhorns 2023 class this spring, Chatman’s weekend visit was an important one for this staff.

Offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns were already sitting in a pretty favorable position with Chatman entering the spring. The most recent expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Prediction for Chatman projects his commitment to go to Texas.

And the On3 recruiting prediction machine gives Texas more than a 95 percent chance to land the commitment of Chatman.

It’s easy to see why Texas is confident in where they sit in the recruitment of Chatman as it stands coming out of this key visit weekend. What Chatman had to say about this visit to Texas coming out of the weekend should make Flood and the Longhorns even more confident in the race to land his commitment.

According to a report from Horns247 this weekend (paid content), Chatman said that it was “great” to see the Longhorns practice in-person in the first week of spring ball. He also mentioned that this visit to Austin was just a “great experience” for him.

Considering the fact that Texas already looked like one of the top schools in the race to land a commitment from Chatman, you have to like where they stand now.
