A rising underrated target to watch for the Longhorns 2023 class this spring is the three-star Katy safety/linebacker Johnathan Hall. As one of the more recent Texas offers to watch in the midst of this important spring visit season, Hall looks to be finding traction with the Longhorns in a very short amount of time.

Texas originally offered Hall in early March. And it already looks like he’s keeping Texas top of mind among the schools sitting in a favorable position in Hall’s recruitment as of early April.

Moreover, Hall went from an under-the-radar recent offer to watch just a couple of weeks ago to a potential underrated commitment that could come Texas’ way in the not-too-distant future.

Most accounts of the weekend visit that Hall had in Austin amount to the impression that he was taken aback in a positive sense by what he saw and experienced on campus. It sounds like Texas did about as well as possible to give an early pitch to Hall to want to join their 2023 class this spring.

Expect Texas to continue to push to get Hall on the books for another visit either in the spring or summer. He’s likely got other schools he wants to see before the fall, but Texas definitely looks like a candidate to get a return visit at some point later this offseason.

If Texas was able to add Hall to the 2023 class, he would bring a pretty incredible amount of versatility to the table. He can play at a few different spots at linebacker or safety from the skill set he’s put on display at Katy High School in the last couple of years.
