4 important recruits visiting Texas during spring game weekend
Will Randle, TE
One of the top tight end targets on the Longhorns’ radar for a good while now for the 2023 class is the three-star Isidore Newman product Will Randle. This versatile and talented teammate of the elite five-star quarterback Arch Manning looks to be one of the more realistic commitments for Jeff Banks and the Longhorns to land heading into the summer.
This is the third time Randle is visiting Texas in about as many weeks this spring. It’s clear that Banks and the Longhorns are one of the schools setting the pace in the race to land a commitment from Randle this spring. And it feels like a successful visit weekend for the Longhorns here could be something that moves them another step closer to sealing the deal with Randle.
Terrance Green, DL
You won’t find many defensive recruits around the state of Texas this spring that have a stock rising faster of late than the underrated three-star Cy Woods defensive lineman Terrance Green. In roughly the last month alone, Green has picked up offers from the Auburn Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan State Spartans, and Florida Gators, among a couple others.
Green is definitely one of the recruits to watch for the Longhorns this weekend as there’s a great chance that he garners a Texas offer before the festivities conclude on April 24. Texas still has a good bit of work to do, though, to catch up with other top schools in the race to land a commitment from Green this offseason. Green looks to have the likes of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders at the forefront of his recruitment right now.
It will be interesting to see if Texas can insert themselves among the frontrunners for Green if they make a big move with him this weekend and get a scholarship offer to him.
