3 Texas players that could enter the portal after Myron Warren
As we conclude spring camp for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football program following last weekend, there is a lot to discuss. For one, it looks like the NCAA Transfer Portal is going to take center stage for Texas at least for the next few weeks.
College football is set to hit a limit date to enter the transfer portal post-spring ball with the one-year transfer rule on May 1. That means that any potential immediate impact players that Sark and the Longhorns want to add out of the transfer portal are likely to come in the near future.
But Texas did see one rising upperclassman along the defensive line enter the transfer portal early this week, opening up one more scholarship spot on this roster. That now-former Longhorns player that entered the portal on April 26 was the former blue-chip recruit and rising redshirt junior defensive lineman Myron Warren.
Who could follow former Texas football DL Myron Warren into the portal post-spring ball?
This now makes it two times in the last two years that Warren has put his name in the transfer portal. The last time that Warren entered the portal was back during the 2020 offseason. But he would ultimately return to the Forty Acres a couple of offseasons ago to play one more season under the former Texas head coach Tom Herman.
It doesn’t look like Warren will be returning to Texas this time, though. And he likely isn’t the only Longhorns player bound to enter the portal following the conclusion of spring ball.
Here’s a look at three other Longhorns players that could follow suit with Warren and enter the portal before the end of April.
