Ricky Pearsall, WR

Another one of the more proven options at the wide receiver position in the transfer portal post-spring ball is the former Arizona State junior slot wideout Ricky Pearsall. This reliable skill position weapon was really versatile for the Sun Devils in the last couple of seasons.

In the last two seasons, Pearsall has registered nearly 800 total yards and seven touchdowns. And last season alone, he picked up a career-high 48 catches for 580 receiving yards (12.1 yards per catch) and four touchdown catches.

Pearsall is also an extremely reliable target in the passing game as he has just two drops on nearly 75 targets in the last two seasons. He could be a welcome addition as an experienced upperclassman in this wide receiver room.

Javian Hester, WR

There are two clear targets that Sark, Marion, and the Longhorns could have at the wide receiver position in the transfer portal post-spring ball if they wanted to add a younger and more impactful player over the long term. The first we talked about already in the former Sooners’ blue-chip Jackson.

The other is the former Mizzou Tigers blue-chip recruit and redshirt freshman wideout Javian Hester. It looked like Hester was going to be sitting behind three or four other more experienced and proven wideouts with Mizzou. He would likely still be facing an uphill battle to get starting reps right away with the Longhorns. But earning a key spot on the two-deep and still getting a healthy number of targets in the passing game next season is not out of the question for him with Texas.
