Texas has lost a plethora of wide receiver depth to the transfer portal so far this offseason. And one of the more notable losses among Longhorns wideouts to the portal thus far came in the form of the former blue-chip recruit and junior Marcus Washington.

The writing is already on the wall that Washington could be favoring head coach Scott Frost and the Nebraska Cornhuskers out of the portal. If there is one that we know of, Nebraska looks like the favorite destination for Washington post-spring ball.

Destination: Nebraska

Dajon Harrison, WR

There is less clarity as to where the redshirt freshman wide receiver and former three-star recruit Dajon Harrison could land out of the portal this offseason compared to another player at his position such as Washington.

Going back to one particular connection Harrison had during his recruitment out of high school, a familiar destination for him could be with the former TCU Horned Frogs special teams coordinator and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs assistant Dan Sharp.

Destination: Louisiana Tech

Joshua Moore, WR

No single former Longhorns player had a crazier ride in the transfer portal so far this offseason than the former blue-chip recruit and redshirt junior wide receiver Joshua Moore. The Texas native has now committed and backed away from two different destinations out of the portal in the last few months.

Moore originally committed to Texas Tech out of the portal during the winter. But that commitment didn’t stick for long before he flipped to SMU.

It is now known that Moore is not expected to play for SMU either. At this point, it’s hard to tell where a commitment from Moore could stick. I would say an FCS commitment makes sense for him at this point. He could play alongside a former teammate of his and senior safety B.J. Foster with FCS Sam Houston State. On the surface, that makes a lot of sense.
