The summer visit season will soon begin for second-year head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff as they get ready to host some of the top Texas football recruiting targets mainly during the month of June. This could be a time when the activity spikes on the recruiting trail in a big way for Texas after a spring that was mostly quiet for their 2023 class.
Sark and the Longhorns staff are already slated to host roughly two-dozen visitors officially next month among targets of the 2023 class. There will also be multiple multiple dozens of visitors unofficially for the 2024 recruiting cycle during the summer.
But the focal point during the month of June on the recruiting trail will mostly remain on the visitors that are targets of the 2023 class. That’s where it seems like Sark and the Longhorns have the most built up in terms of a wave of potential commitments during the summer months.
Breaking down some of the underrated and occasionally forgotten June visitors for Texas football
Of the nearly two-dozen targets of the Longhorns 2023 class that are currently on the books for official visits next month, most are well-noted blue-chip recruits. That includes the likes of the five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning, five-star Denton-Ryan linebacker Anthony Hill, and four-star Langham Creek wide receiver Jaquaize Pettaway.
But those are some of the bigger visiting recruits for the Longhorns this summer. There are still some lower-rated blue-chips and three-star prospects that need to be considered among the building list of official visitors for the month of June.
