Patrick Baldwin Jr., F

One of the most talented players to appear in the transfer portal so far this offseason is also one that is part of the 2022 NBA Draft class in the former five-star recruit and Milwaukee Panthers freshman forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. If Baldwin somehow makes it through this draft without getting picked, he would be a fantastic option to help upgrade this Longhorns’ rotation.

In fact, it would almost seem like too much of an embarrassment of riches for the Longhorns if they added an NBA-caliber talent such as Baldwin. The 6-foot-9 and 220-pound is an incredibly gifted guard who can play most positions on the floor and create his own shots from almost anywhere on the offensive halfcourt.

Baldwin is also a smart player on and off the ball and very disruptive thanks to his insane length and athleticism.

Teddy Allen, F

We’ve talked about the possibility of the Longhorns adding a commitment out of the portal from the former New Mexico State and Nebraska Cornhuskers breakout senior wing/forward Teddy Allen before. The reigning WAC Player of the Year and NCAA Tournament stud is also the brother of the returning super senior Texas big man Timmy Allen.

Texas would really be able to add some punch to the top of the rotation by landing Allen. Adding such a capable volume scorer could be a volatile idea for the Longhorns, but it’s easy to think how potent Allen could be with all the space he would have playing with teammates such as Hunter and Morris.
