After ranking out the 10 best quarterbacks in program history for Texas football, it’s time to turn the attention to the running backs. Texas has one of the most impressive groups of running back stars of any college football program in the country throughout its storied history.

Running back excellence was a staple for the Longhorns throughout the history of this football program, even more so than quarterback. In fact, you could make a good case that running back is one of the very best position groups of all time for the Longhorns.
