Texas football getting OV from 4-Star DL Jordan Hall?
The news on the trail keeps coming in for the 2023 Texas football recruiting class early this week. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian could soon be adding another key recruit to the visitor list for the fall.
According to a report from Gerry Hamilton of Inside Texas on Aug. 9, Texas could soon be getting an official visit out of the highly touted four-star Jacksonville-Westside (FL) defensive lineman Jordan Hall for the coming season.
Hall specifically noted that the weekend he would like to officially visit Austin for a key Texas game comes on Sep. 10 when the Longhorns battle the reigning National Champion runner-up Alabama Crimson Tide and head coach Nick Saban. That would clearly be a big addition to the official visitor list for the Longhorns for that massive game weekend.

It’s definitely worth noting that nothing is officially on the books as of yet for Texas to host Hall for an official visit to Austin this fall. But the pure fact that Hall is mentioning that he wants to get to campus this coming season to see the Forty Acres is big for this staff.
And it goes to show the good work that defensive line coach Bo Davis and the Longhorns staff are doing on the recruiting trail with a very touted prospect in Hall.
This is a good example of how good of a recruiter Davis is around SEC recruiting territory. Texas is getting in pretty late on one of the more coveted blue-chip defensive linemen out of the southeastern United States and still making a legit run at him.
Texas is duking it out with the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, LSU Tigers, and Miami Hurricanes, among others. Georgia and Florida do seem to be two of the top schools in the race to land a commitment from Hall heading into the fall.
Sark and the Longhorns currently hold commitments from 21 recruits in the 2023 class after landing the touted four-star Teague (TX) linebacker/edge rusher Derion Gullette on Aug. 5. Texas also now holds commitments from two true defensive linemen in the 2023 class in four-star Bergen Catholic (NJ) product Sydir Mitchell and four-star C.E. King product Dylan Spencer.
