2 5-Star recruits Arch Manning is recruiting for Texas football

The more likely of the two elite five-star recruits that Arch could help the Longhorns get in their 2023 class is Denton-Ryan linebacker and Texas A&M Aggies commit Anthony Hill.
During the summer, Hill included Texas and Texas A&M in his top group of schools. And there was a point in time when it looked like Texas could hold an edge over the Aggies in the race to land a commitment from Hill coming out of his official visit to Austin back in June.
But a bit of an abrupt commitment from Hill to Texas A&M in late July, following their pool party on the final weekend of the month, threw some water on the fire for Texas in this recruitment.
Yet, Hill committing to Texas A&M a couple of months ago definitely isn’t going to stop some of the more prominent commits in the Longhorns 2023 class along with this coaching staff from recruiting him through the whistle on signing day. Hill is likely to remain one of the top defensive targets in the 2023 class throughout the fall.
The next step for the Longhorns this fall in the attempt to flip Hill’s commitment from the Aggies should be to get him to campus for a game weekend during Big 12 play. If Texas can secure an unofficial visit from Hill in the next couple of months, that would be a big sign of the increasing interest between the two parties this fall.
