Texas football has continued to ride the momentum on the recruiting trail in the 2023 class this fall after landing a commitment a few months ago from the elite five-star Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee landed a commitment in Texas’ 2023 class from Manning back in late June.

Since then, Sark and the Longhorns staff have continued to put together one of the most impressive 2023 classes in the entire country.

We’ll see if that momentum continues to hold serve this fall when the highly touted four-star Longview wide receiver target Jalen Hale announces his commitment next week. Arch and the five-star DeSoto wide receiver/Texas commit Johntay Cook are two of the recruits in the Longhorns 2023 class that are recruiting Hale the most this fall.

But there are other recruits that Manning and the other commits in the Longhorns 2023 class are recruiting on a consistent basis this fall. The same can be said for the likes of Cook and the uber-talented four-star running back commit/Edgewater (FL) product Cedric Baxter Jr. a few months out from the Early Signing Period.

Texas has most of the pieces in place in the 2023 class at this point of the cycle, but there are still some recruits they would love to have in the mix when it’s all said and done.

Here’s a look at two of the five-star recruits that Arch is helping Texas recruit as we inch closer to signing day.
