Texas football trending for 4-Star WR target Jalen Hale?
The next commitment date to watch among key targets of the 2023 Texas football recruiting class is now right around the corner. Texas and new wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Brennan Marion have a decision to watch that will be highly anticipated in the next few days.
On Sep. 21, we are going to see the highly touted four-star Longview wide receiver Jalen Hale announce his commitment. Hale’s decision is going to boil down to Texas along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies.
Hale did include the Georgia Bulldogs among his three top schools a couple of months ago, but it doesn’t look like they are in the running any longer. Georgia didn’t get an official visit from Hale, while the trio of Texas, Texas A&M, and Alabama did this fall.
Moreover, everyone wants to know where Texas stands compared to the likes of Alabama and Texas A&M in the race to land a commitment from Hale a few days before his scheduled decision.
Does Texas football have an edge with 4-Star WR Jalen Hale
A recent report from The Football Brainiacs indicates that Texas is starting to get at least a slight lead in the recruitment of Hale a few days ahead of decision day. This lead was described as Texas potentially having a “75-25” lead over Alabama at this point.
This might be one of the bigger indications of where Hale is leaning ahead of decision day.
But I definitely am not counting out the Crimson Tide, as that would be a pretty massive mistake given his successful official visit to Tuscaloosa back on the first weekend of the season (Sep. 3).
It’s also worth watching Hale’s official visit this weekend to College Station to see Texas A&M. It should be an electric atmosphere at Kyle Field on this night for Texas A&M’s top 25 matchup against the Miami Hurricanes.
Texas currently holds commitments from 22 recruits in the 2023 class. At the moment, Texas has a trio of wide receiver commits in the 2023 class including DeSoto’s Johntay Cook, Aldine Eisenhower’s Ryan Nibblett, and Spring Dekaney’s Jonah Wilson.
