Texas football is gearing up for a big-time Big 12 showdown in Manhattan, KS, on Nov. 5 against head coach Chris Klieman and the No. 13 ranked Kansas State Wildcats. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and No. 24 ranked Texas will hit the road coming out of the bye week for the second consecutive game away from Austin.

Sark and the Longhorns come into this meeting with Kansas State sporting a record of 5-3 (3-2 Big 12) after the bye week. The last game for the Longhorns resulted in a tough one-score loss at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road in Stillwater on Oct. 22.

Meanwhile, Kansas State comes into this game after routing Oklahoma State at home in Manhattan on Oct. 29, by the final score of 48-0. That win over the Pokes gives the Wildcats a record of 6-2 (4-1 Big 12) heading into Week 10.

Texas is set to face Kansas State in front of a wild environment in primetime on Nov. 5 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, with the kickoff time set for 6 p.m. CT. We could be set up for some cold weather rolling through Manhattan in early November for this one.

But the nightly forecast looks to be a bit chilly. This at least looks to be the coldest game that the Longhorns will have played in thus far in 2022.
