The highest-rated Texas target that we have on commitment watch this week is the former Texas A&M Aggies pledge and elite five-star Denton Ryan linebacker Anthony Hill. Texas has continued to pry Hill’s commitment away from the Aggies since he originally committed to Texas A&M late in the summer.

Texas was originally one of the top two schools in Hill’s recruitment prior to his commitment to Texas A&M a few months ago.

But it didn’t take long for Hill to re-open his recruitment, and officially open the door for Texas to make its move with the nation’s top-ranked linebacker prospect.

Hill de-committed from Texas A&M on Nov. 7, dealing a huge blow to the Aggies’ 2023 class. And on the same day, the news dropped that Hill would be unofficially visiting Texas for the TCU game on Nov. 12.

We also have to mention the plethora of forecasts from the major recruiting services projecting Hill’s commitment to Texas early this week. In the last 36 hours alone, there were three expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions entered for Hill’s commitment to Texas.

There was a whopping four On3 RPM picks entered projecting Hill’s commitment to Texas early this week too.

Add in five more Rivals FutureCasts projecting Hill’s commitment to Texas that were placed on Nov. 7, and you can see how much momentum is sitting with the Longhorns in this recruitment at the moment.

It could be as simple as Texas beating TCU this weekend in front of a raucous atmosphere under the lights at DKR for this staff to seal the deal with Hill. Since Hill is expected to be one of the many blue-chip recruits visiting for the Texas-TCU game on Nov. 12, the opportunity is now for the Longhorns to make its move to lock this recruitment down.
