One of the most dominant efforts we’ve seen from the Texas football program under the direction of head coach Steve Sarkisian in the last two seasons came to fruition on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks on Nov. 19. Texas looked absolutely dominant from beginning to end against head coach Lance Leipold and the Jayhawks in Week 12.
And the biggest reason why the Longhorns were so dominant on the road against the Jayhawks this weekend was the insane outing from star junior running back Bijan Robinson.
In just three quarters of work in this game, Bijan went off for 243 rushing yards on 25 carries (9.7 yards per carry) and a whopping four rushing touchdowns. This is a career-high for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in a single game for Bijan.
He essentially was the offense for Texas in the first half of this game. And he continued to dominate Kansas early in the second half thanks to multiple long runs where he broke a ton of tackles in the process.
Reactions to Bijan Robinson’s massive day for Texas football in a dominant win over Kansas
Bijan was a menace for this Kansas defense this weekend. He had a career day that will be one to remember for both he and the Longhorns faithful.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that the defense also showed up to play in this game. Despite the return of the dual-threat junior quarterback Jalon Daniels to live-game action for the first time since he suffered a bad shoulder injury against the TCU Horned Frogs on Oct. 8, Texas’ defense was stout.
The defense didn’t even allow a touchdown until more than 10 minutes into the second half.
All in all, this was a much different-looking version of the Longhorns that showed up in Lawrence on this day compared to what we saw from this team last weekend in the loss to TCU at home. Texas’ defense remained solid for yet another week, but the offense came to life thanks to Sark actually keeping Bijan involved in the playcalling.
Here’s a look at the social media reactions to Bijan and the Longhorns dominating the Jayhawks on Nov. 19.
Bijan Robinson becomes the first Big 12 running back to rush for at least 240 yards and four TDs in one game since Texas’ Chris Warren III vs. Texas Tech in 2015 (276 YDS, 4 TDs).

We are not worthy of having Bijan Robinson on this football team

Tackling Bijan Robinson doesn't look like fun.

Jonathon Brooks was also great for Texas in this game when he took over for Bijan in the second half.

Steve Sarkisian will win back-to-back road games.

So nice to see.
When this game was finally over, Texas notched a dominant 55-14 win over the Jayhawks. Kansas scored all of its 14 points in the second half when most of the starters were out of the game. And we saw Brooks notch two of the scores for Texas in the second half thanks to two nice runs.
This win over the Jayhawks moves the Longhorns to a mark of 7-4 (5-3 Big 12) on the season. Texas is technically still alive in the race for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game. Sark and the Longhorns also now have two more wins than they did all of last season.
Next up for Bijan and the Longhorns is a matchup at home against the Baylor Bears on Nov. 25.
