On Dec. 21, the early signees will start to roll in for the 2023 Texas football recruiting class. This is the first day for the 2023 recruiting cycle that high school prospects will be able to lock in their commitments by signing on the dotted line.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have 21 commits in the 2023 class heading into the first signing day of this cycle. According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2023 Texas recruiting class ranks at No. 4 in the nation and in the top spot in the Big 12 ahead of the Oklahoma Sooners.

Of the 21 commits in the 2023 class, four are rated as five stars in the 247Sports Composite. The group of four five-star commits in the Longhorns 2023 class is highlighted by the No. 1 recruit and New Orleans native QB Arch Manning. And it looks like Texas was able to get Arch signed, among a number of other key early signees on the morning of Dec. 21.

And there are another nine four-stars committed to the Longhorns 2023 class. The rest of the commitments are three stars in the 2023 class, at least among the high school recruits.

Texas is looking to sign most of its key 2023 commits on the first National Signing Day. Here’s a look at the live NSD1 tracker for the Longhorns for Dec. 21.
