Texas Football: Agiye Hall enters the portal after leaving the team
The second former Texas football wide receiver to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal as part of the 2023 class came about on Dec. 26. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Agiye Hall announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on social media late in the morning of Dec. 26.
This is the second time in the last two years that Hall is in the portal. Last offseason, Hall transferred to Texas after spending one season with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He’ll now be looking for his third college in less than two years.
The move for the second-year wideout to enter the portal again for next offseason was expected after it became known on Dec. 20 that Hall was no longer with the team.
Just a few weeks ago, it looked as if Hall was in line to get more live-game reps for Texas in the Alamo Bowl against the No. 12 Washington Huskies on Dec. 29. But it seems that Hall no longer had a place within the program within the last few weeks.

Since Hall arrived on campus for the summer semester, he had a turbulent run at Texas. He was suspended from the team back in August after a parking incident.
Hall would later work his way back with the team and get his first, and only, reception of the season on Sep. 24 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. That catch against Tech went for seven yards.
During the regular season, Hall took live-game snaps in four outings. Hall will now be entering the portal with three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Hall is a former four-star recruit hailing out of Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, FL. He signed with the Crimson Tide’s 2021 recruiting class as one of the highest-rated skill players.
