The most highly anticipated game of the non-conference schedule for Texas football during the 2023 regular season comes in Week 2 against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian will take on legendary head coach Nick Saban and Alabama on the road at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Sep. 9.

We now have a kickoff time for the massive non-conference showdown between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, AL, on Sep. 9. An official release from the Texas Sports website on the morning of May 16 updated the kickoff time, and TV information for the Texas-Alabama game.

This official release from the Texas Sports website also provides the TV information for the Red River Rivalry Game on Oct. 7 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas between Texas and the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Red River Rivalry Game will be broadcast on ABC this fall, and the kickoff time has yet to be announced for Texas-OU.

Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium (Tuscaloosa, AL)

ESPN will now get to broadcast this matchup between Texas and Alabama this coming season. In last year’s matchup between Texas and Alabama at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, FOX got the broadcast rights.

Alabama got the best of Texas when these two teams met at DKR last fall, but only by a final score of 20-19. And the Crimson Tide opened up as an 8.5-point favorite for this Week 2 showdown against Texas (per FanDuel).

Texas holds the all-time series edge against the Crimson Tide, with a record of 7-2-1. But Alabama has won each of the last two meetings against Texas, including last season’s matchup and the 2010 BCS National Championship Game.
