The two-seed Texas baseball was supposed to open up the Coral Gables Regional (hosted by the No. 9 Miami Hurricanes) on June 2 at 1 p.m. CT against the three-seed Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. But adverse weather has delayed the start time for what looks to be at least a half-hour or an hour at this point.

The Texas baseball Twitter page posted on June 2, a little bit before the original first pitch time at 12:41 p.m. CT, that the “first pitch will be delayed as we wait for some weather to move out of the area”.

A little more than half past the hour after the original start time for Game 1 of the Coral Gables Regional, the ESPN+ broadcast is still displaying the “weather delay in effect” banner at the bottom of the screen.

Meagan Glover of KATC TV3 tweeted on June 2 that the “PA just announced that weather is approaching the area and we’ll be waiting until we see what happens with that system”.
