For the second consecutive day, the two-seed Texas baseball and head coach David Pierce find themselves in a weather delay in the Coral Gables Regional. Texas had its regional opener against the three-seed Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns delayed for Game 1 on June 2.

Now, the Longhorns have its game delayed against the top-seed regional host Miami Hurricanes on the evening of June 3 pushed back due to weather-related issues.

Both the Texas and Miami baseball Twitter pages posted about the weather delay on June 3. The latest update we got from the Miami page stated that “due to lightning in the area, tonight’s game will not begin at 6:06 p.m.”, signaling that it will be at least an hour after the original start time that the Longhorns-Hurricanes gets underway in Coral Gables.

A post on Texas’ Twitter page a little bit less than one hour ago sent a similar message in terms of the unknown status of the start time for this game.
