Deondrae Riden, RB

For the second time in the last three months, the skilled four-star DeSoto running back Deondrae “Tiger” Riden made the trip to Texas unofficially. Riden’s last visit to the Forty Acres was on April 15 for the spring game.

Riden is one of the early names to watch at the running back position for RB coach Tashard Choice and the Longhorns in the 2025 class heading into the summer. Choice and Riden have a good relationship, and Texas has made a big move in this recruitment since the start of spring.

It also helps Texas’ case in this recruitment that Riden’s former DeSoto High School teammates, running back Tre Wisner and wide receiver Johntay Cook II, are now enrolled on the 40. Wisner and Cook have stayed in constant communication with Riden to help recruit him to Texas.

Riden reportedly came out of this trip to Texas this weekend continuing to feel great about his budding relationship with Choice, which isn’t the least bit surprising given the RB coach’s recent work on the recruiting trail with other top targets at the position for the Longhorns.

Jacorey Watson, WR

While the rising four-star Pearland (TX) Shadow Creek wide receiver Jacorey Watson reportedly didn’t participate in the camp part of the unofficial visit to Texas this weekend, it still sounds like he had a great experience on campus in the last couple of days. Watson said that Texas “feels like home’ and that this visit experience “was amazing”.

Watson was a frequent visitor on campus since last fall. He visited Texas twice during the spring, most recently for the Orange-White Game on April 15. Thus, he’s now made it to campus for unofficial visits three times in as many months including the trip he made on June 3.

The 5-foot-10 and 175-pound Watson is high on Texas after he’s made so many successful trips to Austin in the last eight months or so.
