The top-ranked running back recruit in the nation in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite, high-four-star Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei product Jordon Davison, will be making his first visit to Texas since January later this month. Davison will be visiting Texas unofficially on July 25, along with his teammate Harris.

Davison is one of the top priorities at the running back position in the 2025 class for RB coach Tashard Choice and the Longhorns. He has already visited Texas three times since the beginning of last offseason, including once for the first Junior Day of the 2023 offseason on Jan. 21.

The only school Davison has visited more times than Texas is the USC Trojans.

Choice’s track record with out-of-state recruiting at the running back position in the last few cycles, combined with Sark’s west coast connections, set Texas apart as one of the top out-of-state schools for Davison early in his recruitment. Davison also attends the same school as Sark’s daughter at Mater Dei.

We mentioned on the site earlier this week that Sark and Choice have remained in constant communication with Davison since last offseason. And considering how big of a factor it is for Davison to have strong relationships with the coaches and the trust that he will be developed properly, Texas sits in a good spot early on in this recruitment.

It will be big for the Longhorns to get Davison to campus as much as possible for the rest of the summer and during the fall. Other out-of-state contenders in the race to land a commitment from Davison, such as Ohio State and Georgia, will do the same thing in the coming months.
