Texas Basketball: Predicting Longhorns next commit after Cam Scott
Robert Miller III, PF
A top power forward priority for the Longhorns in the 2024 class late this summer is the high-four-star 6-foot-10 and 225-pound Houston (TX) Pasadena Memorial product Robert Miller III. The elite in-state power forward has Texas among his top schools after a couple of successful unofficial visits to Austin last fall. Miller’s last visit to Texas was in June.
Miller included Texas among his top six finalist schools, which he announced on social media on July 17. The other five schools among his finalists are the Oklahoma Sooners, Colorado Buffaloes, Arkansas Razorbacks, LSU Tigers, and Alabama Crimson Tide.
But it sounds like this could be a battle that comes down to Texas, Colorado, and Alabama to land Miller’s commitment.
Texas will have its shot during an in-person visit with Miller when he makes a return trip to Austin for an official visit on Sep. 29 and 30. Miller will also take an official visit to Tuscaloosa to see Alabama the weekend before his Texas OV, on Sep. 22 and 23.
Texas highly values the length and athleticism that Miller brings to the frontcourt on both ends of the floor. He’s a fluid athlete for a big man that can run the floor in transition, stretch the floor on offense, and protect the rim on defense.
