Texas Football: Big Noon Kickoff crew picks UT to beat Kansas State

The set of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff show was in Austin this weekend for the high-stakes Big 12 matchup for No. 7 Texas football at home at DKR against head coach Chris Klieman and the No. 23 Kansas State Wildcats. Texas needs a win over Kansas State to keep control of its destiny in the race for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game.

The Longhorns and Wildcats are both part of a five-way tie atop the Big 12 standings, with all teams boasting conference records of 4-1. The other three teams Texas and Kansas State are tied with atop the Big 12 standings heading into Week 10 are the No. 21 Kansas Jayhawks, No. 22 Oklahoma State Cowboys, and Iowa State Cyclones.

The Big Noon Kickoff crew is high on the Longhorns’ chances to stave off the upset bid from Kansas State on Nov. 4.

Brady Quinn, Mark Ingram, Matt Leinart, and Urban Meyer all picked Texas to win this game by one possession against Kansas State.

Texas looking for its seventh straight win vs. Kansas State

In the final meeting between Texas and Kansas State as Big 12 foes, head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are seeking their seventh straight win in this series. Sark is 2-0 in two tries against Kansas State since 2021, including a 34-27 win over the Wildcats on the road in Manhattan last season.

Texas enters this matchup against Kansas State at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Nov. 4 with a record of 7-1 (4-1 Big 12) after a convincing 35-6 win over the BYU Cougars at home on Oct. 28.

Kansas State has a record of 6-2 (4-1 Big 12) heading into Week 10 after a dominant 41-0 shutout victory over the Houston Cougars at home on Oct. 8. Texas is looking for its third win in a row if it beats Kansas State in Week 10. Meanwhile, the Wildcats will extend their winning streak to four games.
