2024 Week 12 12-team College Football Playoff rankings prediction
The chaos in Week 11 has greatly impacted the updated projections for the College Football Playoff 12-team bracket rankings. The college football landscape was shaken up last weekend thanks to top-ranked teams like the Miami Hurricanes, Georgia Bulldogs, and Iowa State Cyclones each suffering upset losses.
With only a few weeks remaining in the 2024 regular season during the month of November, there isn't much time left for top contenders for the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff projected field to solidify their spots in the fold. Teams like Miami and Iowa State are good examples of P4 contenders that have their Playoff chances dramatically decreasing entering Week 12.
Here's a look at the updated 12-team College Football Playoff bracket predictions, with another week of ranking shakeups following the chaos of Week 11.

Last week, two of the projected conference champions, Georgia (SEC) and Miami (ACC) fell out of the Week 12 Playoff bracket rankings. Georgia fell by double digits in a decisive defeat on the road against the No. 16 Ole Miss Rebels.
Miami was upset by their ACC foe, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, in a 28-23 defeat on the road on Nov. 9. The loss to Georgia Tech handed the Canes its first defeat of the season in the ACC.
ESPN still has Miami in the Playoff as the ACC Champion, but I think they're discounting some of the Canes' close wins and the unranked foe loss to the Yellow Jackets this past Saturday.
Ole Miss and the Alabama Crimson Tide are the two teams that re-entered this week's Playoff projections. Alabama mauled over the No. 14 LSU Tigers in a dominant 42-13 win on the road at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge over the weekend.
Texas football (SEC) and the SMU Mustangs (ACC) move into two of the conference champion projections, thanks to their team's recent success in conference play, respectively. Texas dominated the Florida Gators, 49-17, in a game that saw the Longhorns up by a whopping 35-0 score at halftime.
Texas's win, and Georgia's subsequent loss to Ole Miss, has moved the Longhorns back into the spot as the highest-ranked SEC team in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll.
