Elijah Barnes, LB (Texas commit)

After he visits Fasusi and Lewisville for the Friday-night matchup in DFW against Guyer High School, Sarkisian is headed to South Dallas to see Dallas (TX) Skyline and high-four-star linebacker commit Elijah "Bo" Barnes against DeSoto (TX) High.

It sounds like Sarkisian will visit Barnes for his team's game against DeSoto for at least one half of the contest tonight.

Pete Kwiatkowski and the Longhorns currently have two linebackers committed to the 2025 class this fall, Barnes and Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley four-star Jonathan Cunningham. Texas is still looking to add at least one more linebacker commit for this cycle before signing day next month.

The only in-state flip target the Longhorns have hosted at the linebacker position for a gameday visit this fall recently is five-star Ohio State Buckeyes commit Riley Pettijohn, for the Georgia game on Oct. 19. Texas is scheduled to host out-of-state blue-chip linebacker targets Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng and Kellen Wiley (both from the state of Florida) for gameday visits later this month.

The other out-of-state linebacker target to follow for the Longhorns in the 2025 class this fall is California native four-star Madden Faraimo.
