Momentum has been building on the recruiting trail for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian to make big moves for the 2026 class in spring and summer visits. Sarkisian and staff are already working hard to get official visits scheduled for this summer in June.

A number of the Longhorns' top priority recruits on the trail for the 2026 class have already set official visit dates to see Austin this summer, or are currently in the process of getting summer trips scheduled in the coming days and weeks.

Texas is eyeing a second-straight No. 1 ranked recruiting class in the nation in the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking for the 2026 cycle. Summer official visits will be crucial for the Longhorns to make big impressions on their top priority targets on the trail for the 2026 class before decisions are being made late between July, August, and September before top prospects announce before their senior seasons.

Here are three key official visit dates set for top-priority in-state recruits for the Longhorns in the 2026 class for this summer.

Felix Ojo, OT

The in-state crop of offensive tackle blue-chip recruits for the 2026 class is very strong for this cycle. High-four-star Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge offensive tackle Felix Ojo is one of the top in-state offensive line recruits the Longhorns are prioritizing in the 2026 class early this offseason on the trail.

Ojo had a successful unofficial visit to Texas for the first big Junior Day of the offseason on Jan. 25. Texas is in a great position right now on the recruiting trail for one of its top in-state priorities in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball going into spring visits.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that Ojo will take an official visit to Texas from June 13-15. Ojo is also reportedly planning on taking official visits to see the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines this summer.

John Turntine III, OT

Five-star Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley offensive tackle John Turntine III is expected to visit Texas multiple times this offseason, including for a summer official visit in late June. While he didn't make it to Austin for Texas's first big Junior Day of the 2025 offseason, Turntine will be back on campus a couple of times over the coming three or four months in the spring and summer on the trail.

Rivals' Sam Spiegelman reported on Feb. 9 that Turntine will officially visit Texas from June 20-22. The other official visit Turntine has scheduled is to see College Station in early June (June 5-7) to see the Texas A&M Aggies.

Turntine is Texas's top in-state offensive line priority for Kyle Flood in the 2026 class early this offseason on the recruiting trail.

Javian Osborne, RB

Running backs coach Tashard Choice and the Longhorns are making the June 13-15 official visit weekend a big visit week this summer for top targets at this position group for the 2026 class. The June 13-15 official visit weekend already has two key in-state running back priorities in the 2026 class, Carthage (TX) four-star KJ Edwards and Forney (TX) high-four-star Javian Osborne, on the books for their summer trips to see Austin in mid-June.

Osborne posted on social media on Feb. 10 that he has locked in his mid-June official visit to see Texas from the 13th-15th.

Texas and Michigan are the two top schools battling it out on the trail for the speedy and explosive back from North Texas, Osborne, going into spring and summer visits this offseason.
