Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have absolutely killed it in the transfer portal so far, landing some of the top players available at multiple positions. Having said that, it wouldn't be surprising to see them bring in a few more players over the next two months.
Though there are very few areas that Texas is still "weak" in, they could stand to add a little more depth at a few key spots. Let's look at a few players who are still available and could be pretty nice additions to the team heading into 2026.
C Josiah Chenault - Kennesaw State
Chenault was a full-time starter for the Owls in 2025, and graded out as one of the better centers at the G5 level. Texas might already have it's starting interior trio already lined up with Dylan Sikorski, Connor Robertson, and Brandon Baker but Chenault would provide invaluable depth inside.

Chenault having started over 20 games at the FBS level and being an All-CUSA selection in 2025 could give him a legitimate shot to compete with Sikorski at left guard as well if the Oregon State transfer isn't ready.
LB Darius Snow - Michigan State
The Frisco, TX, native and on-and-off starter for the Spartans is looking for a new home, having recently visited with UNLV and Tulsa. He played in over 40 games for Michigan State throughout his career and could give Texas some excellent depth at multiple linebacker spots in 2026.
He only has one year of eligibility remaining, but he would give the Longhorns' defense an experienced, no-nonsense type of player who could contribute right away on both special teams and as a sub-package linebacker. Snow would be a classic "win now" type of transfer, and that's exactly what Texas wants to do this year.
OT Broderick Shull - Auburn
Shull is an incredibly athletic, but raw offensive tackle who has four years of eligibility remaining. He was a member of 247Sports' "Freaks list" in 2025, and is one of the more intriguing offensive linemen remaining in the portal.

At 6'5", 325 lbs., he has excellent size and strength with the potential to play anywhere along the offensive line, both inside and out. Shull could be added as a developmental swing tackle with the potential to start later down the road.
