Former USC Trojans senior grad transfer interior offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon visited Texas over the weekend. Pregnon is the first transfer offensive linemen that offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Kyle Flood and the Longhorns hosted on a portal visit over the past few years.

This bucks the trend of the Longhorns solely building the offensive line pipeline via high school recruiting and development under Flood over the past few years.

Pregnon also took visits to Eugene and Knoxville in the past couple of weeks to check out the Oregon Ducks and Tennessee Volunteers.

It sounds like Pregnon is getting closer to a decision after he visited Texas, Tennessee, and Oregon in the past week.

Pregnon was an All-Big Ten Second-Team guard for the Trojans in 2024. He started 13 games in the 2024 season, allowing zero sacks and 18 quarterback pressures in pass protection (per PFF).

In 2023, Pregnon started 13 games without allowing any sacks and a career-low 14 quarterback pressures.

He started his collegiate career with the Wyoming Cowboys in 2020. Pregnon redshirted his first two years at Wyoming before earning a starting job at right guard for the 2022 season, where he was a Freshman All-American.

Texas is expected to lose at least two out of three interior offensive line starters due to exhausted eligibility and the NFL Draft this offseason. Junior guard DJ Campbell could return for the 2025 season if he foregoes his 2025 NFL Draft decision for this spring.
