Multiple top priority in-state recruits for the Longhorns in the 2026 class headline the visitor list for this weekend, including high-four-star running back Javian Osborne, four-star defensive lineman Jaimeon Winfield, and high-four-star wide receiver Jalen Lott, among many other blue-chips.

Texas also hosted its highest-rated commitment in the 2026 class for the Junior Day visit today, five-star Fort Lauderdale (FL) American Heritage quarterback Dia Bell. Having Bell on campus helped the Longhorns' coaching staff recruit other top prospects in the 2026 and 2027 classes, especially at the skill positions on offense, to Texas today.

Another big storyline on the recruiting trail worth following for the Longhorns this weekend is the key recruits in the 2027 class on offer watch. Texas coaches have already extended a few offers to emerging recruits early this offseason in the 2026 and 2027 classes this weekend.

Here are three surprise visiting recruits from the 2026 and 2027 classes who showed up on campus today for Junior Day trips to Texas.

James Scott, WR

Rising three-star Conroe (TX) Oak Ridge wide receiver James Scott was the first offer for the 2026 recruiting class the Longhorns extended during Junior Day today. The big 6-foot-5 and 200-pound receiver Scott has great size and catch radius on the outside at wideout.

The D1 offers have come pouring in for Scott since the start of this offseason. In the past three weeks alone, Scott has received P4 offers from the likes of the Florida State Seminoles, Utah Utes, Arizona State Sun Devils, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Kansas State Wildcats, Kentucky Wildcats, and Texas Tech Red Raiders, among others.
