Texas Football will take on the Florida Gators at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. It will be an exciting match-up against Florida since Texas had their second bye week last weekend. The Longhorns could come out of the gate swinging or take an entire half to get momentum going.
We will see which version of the Longhorns shows up in the first half on Saturday morning. I cannot wait for the game for a variety of reasons.
There could be a variety of odd predictions that could happen on Saturday. We could see the Longhorns' defense had a sack count of around ten sacks. We could also see a Sophomore running back have a career game against the Gators' defense. Who knows what numbers the receiving core put up this week against the Gators? Let's look at four bold predictions for the Longhorns against the Gators this weekend.
Texas football bold predictions vs. Florida: 4. Longhorns' Defense sack count is near ten this Saturday
The Longhorns' defensive line is due for a huge game, and I have a weird feeling it could happen on Saturday against the Gators. My first bold prediction is that the defensive line has around ten sacks against the Gators' offense.
I know it's doubtful to happen, but it would help the Longhorns control the line of scrimmage against an unpredictable offense. If the Longhorns can get to DJ Lagway, it's game over for the Gators.
3. Quintrevion Wisner goes over 200 yards rushing
While this one seems unlikely to happen since the Longhorns love to throw the ball, don't count it out. Sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner could be the primary running back against the Gators this weekend.
If he does become the number one back, he could rack up over 200 yards rushing this week. With how good the Longhorns' offensive line blocks and Wisner's ability to read where to run, the Longhorns could run away with the victory this weekend.
2. Longhorns' receiving core has over 350 total yards receiving
This one could happen since the Longhorns love to throw the ball after running it. Senior quarterback Quinn Ewers will probably look to redeem himself to the Heisman Trophy Committee this weekend. With that being said, the Longhorns' receiving core could have over 350 total yards receiving. After having some issues against the Georgia Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores, this will be a game where the receivers show how lethal the Longhorns' passing game is.
1. Quinn Ewers' redemption game
This one is kind of going off the bold prediction above this one. After having a couple of iffy games against Georgia and Vanderbilt, Ewers has a massive game. I think he could throw for over 375 yards against the Gators.
Right now, the Longhorns are three-score favorites on Saturday. I could see the Longhorns win by more than that. That's why it could be plausible to see the Ewers and the Longhorns have a massive offensive victory against a veteran SEC football team.
