The Texas Longhorns have hosted a lot of talented prospects over the last few years, it doesn't hurt when you have Lamborghinis parked outside of your stadium. Now, the Horns are set to host four-star edge rusher Khamari Brooks for an official visit this summer.
Brooks announced that he had locked in his OVs for the summer, including the Longhorns, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the USC Trojans. He is set to visit Georgia over the last weekend in May and then the other three programs over the following three weekends.
The young prospect from the class of 2026 is a top-100 recruit, according to On3, and the No. 14 overall EDGE in the class, according to 247Sports.

Brooks has 32 offers from Division I programs across the country, including the four he will visit over the summer, as well as teams such as the Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, and more.
During his junior season, Brooks played on both sides of the ball, bringing in three receptions for 73 yards and one touchdown. On MaxPreps, he is listed as a tight end and a linebacker, as well as playing varsity basketball for his high school, North Oconee in Bogart, GA.
The Longhorns have the No. 1 recruiting class in 2025 but just the No. 10 overall recruiting class in 2026, trailing behind many of their SEC opponents. Adding a player like Brooks to the roster could be exactly what Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian need to start climbing those ranks.
So far, Sarkisian has received just three commitments from prospects in the class of 2026, including one 5-star and two 4-star recruits.
