Did the Lamborghinis outside of DKR do the job for Texas Longhorns’ recruiting?

As elite prospects flooded the streets of Austin, Lamborghinis were front and center, suggesting they could have a sports car NIL deal if they became Longhorns.

All across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok last weekend, people could see the parade of Lamborghinis parked outside Darrell K Royal Memorial Stadium for the Horns’ official visits.

As four-star and five-star prospects flooded the streets of Austin, the Lambos were front and center, provoking the idea that they too could have an NIL deal with Lamborghini if they became Longhorns.

So, with the allure of a beautiful new sports car at the forefront of recruits’ minds, did Texas and Steve Sarkisian see an influx of commitments following a weekend filled with OVs?

The No. 1 edge rusher in the nation, for the class of 2025, Javion Hilson reportedly shared that the Texas Longhorns had reportedly moved up to his top two schools, alongside Florida State.

Five-star athlete Michael Terry III shared with Steve Wiltfong with On3 that he had a great official visit with Sarkisian and the Horns.

Fellow five-star athlete, defensive end Javion Hilson hinted toward commitment on social media, along with a video that included a clip of the Lamborghinis on display.

The Texas athletic department also had its graphics department working at full drive as they captured and created impressive shots of the visiting prospects.

Longhorn legacy Kaydon Finley, the son of Jermichael Finley, shared that he had enjoyed his visit and “Texas treated the fam good.”

As Texas races toward the SEC, the increase of blue chip recruits only bolsters the Horns’ chances at a conference title in the near future.

Steve Sarkisian has brought Texas back and it appears as though the Lamborghinis haven’t hurt.
