Ignoring the current quarterback problem in Austin, the Texas Longhorns have brought in some of the most talented quarterbacks in the country since head coach Steve Sarkisian took over.

From Quinn Ewers transferring into the program to Sarkisian landing commitments from five-star prospect Dia Bell, the Horns have had an impressive amount of depth at the QB position.

Now, Texas is primed to land yet another blue-chip quarterback. Four-star QB Kavian Bryant narrowed his finalists to the Longhorns, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the SMU Mustangs, the Florida State Seminoles, and the Colorado Buffaloes.

Today, Bryant announced that he would make his decision on November 1, choosing between Texas and the four other Power Conference programs.

Bryant is a Texas native, growing up in Palestine, TX, just three hours from the Horns' home at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Despite his proximity to the program, the young quarterback has taken just one visit to Austin.

With zero official visits under his belt so far, Bryant has taken three trips to Lubbock to see the Red Raiders, two to Dallas to see the Mustangs, and even two to College Station to see the Texas A&M Aggies.

Despite the minimal trips to Austin, Bryant included the Longhorns in his final five. However, On3 and Rivals have the Red Raiders leading the charge to land his commitment with a 97.8 percent chance. The Longhorns, the Mustangs, and all other programs supposedly have less than one percent odds to land the young quarterback.

He is the No. 2 quarterback in the class of 2027, only trailing five-star QB Elijah Haven, and is the No. 5 prospect out of Texas, trailing five-star cornerback John Meredith, five-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown, five-star defensive lineman Jalen Brewster, and four-star linebacker Cooper Witten.

On November 1, exactly two weeks from today, Bryant will announce his decision, committing to Texas, SMU, Texas Tech, Florida State, or Colorado.
