As we inch closer to signing day in early-December, more and more recruits in the 2025 class that Texas football has committed or is targeting on the trail will visit UT and other competing schools in the SEC. It is a two-way street for Texas hosting top targets in the 2025 class on the trail committed elsewhere, with some of their own commitments visiting other schools this fall.

4-Star Texas football OT commit Nick Brooks seeing Auburn for the Vandy game this weekend

According to an Inside Texas report on Nov. 2, four-star Loganville (GA) Grayson offensive tackle and Texas commit Nick Brooks is unofficially visiting the Auburn Tigers today. Brooks is visiting Auburn on Saturday for their SEC contest against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Brooks committed to Texas over the Iowa Hawkeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, USC Trojans, and Auburn on Aug. 23. Despite his commitment to the Longhorns a few months ago, Brooks is still being recruited hard by Auburn's coaching staff this fall.

During the summer, Brooks officially visited Georgia (May 31), USC (June 7), and Texas (June 14). He's also taken multiple unofficial visits to Auburn and Iowa since last fall.

Brooks' most recent visit to Texas was a gameday trip for the Georgia game on Oct. 19 at DKR.

Offensive line coach Kyle Flood and the Longhorns are still searching for potentially one more elite offensive tackle prospect commitment for the 2025 class before signing day on Dec. 4. Texas visited Lewisville (TX) five-star offensive tackle/Oklahoma Sooners commit Michael Fasusi and Mesquite (TX) Horn four-star offensive tackle/Mizzou Tigers commit Lamont Rogers during the bye week this Friday in the DFW Metroplex.

Texas currently has five offensive linemen committed to them in the 2025 class this fall. It's still possible for the Longhorns to add (and/or possibly lose with this day and age of college football recruiting and the Early Signing Period) another in-state offensive line recruit for this cycle in the next four or five weeks.
