Jamarion Vincent, Waco (TX) Connally 2026 CB
Blue-chip Waco (TX) Connally cornerback Jamarion Vincent is one of Texas's top in-state defensive back priorities in the 2026 class. Texas really likes the speed and length that Vincent brings to the table as an athletic cover corner.
The two schools to watch in this recruitment are Texas and the Baylor Bears. He announced his six finalist schools on social media a couple of months ago, which included Texas and Baylor, along with the Kansas State Wildcats, TCU Horned Frogs, Houston Cougars, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Texas has established a pipeline recruiting players from Connally High School in the past couple of years. Vincent has former teammates like safety Jelani McDonald and cornerback Kobe Black who he talks often with in the Texas locker room on the Longhorns' roster.
John Turntine III, Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley 2026 OT
Easily Texas's top priority recruit on the offensive side of the ball in the 2026 class is the elite five-star Fort Worth (TX) North Crowley offensive tackle John Turntine III. Texas has been considered the early leader in this recruitment for Turntine.
But the upcoming visits for Turntine during spring ball and summer official visits will be critical for Texas to firmly establish itself in the driver seat for this recruitment.
Fresh off a 6A state championship with North Crowley High School, Turntine's recruitment is about to heat up entering spring and summer visits on the trail this offseason.
Turntine cut his list of finalist schools to 10 a couple of weeks ago, including the Mizzou Tigers, Stanford Cardinal, Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, SMU, Oregon, Tennessee, and Michigan.
I won't undersell Kyle Flood's ability to win these types of recruitments for top in-state offensive tackles on the trail.
