Caleb Chester, CB (Texas commit)

Three-star Missouri City (TX) Fort Bend Marshall cornerback and Texas commit Caleb Chester was also locked in, watching the Longhorns game in Red River against Oklahoma yesterday. He was engaged on social media, and was clearly impressed, but also not surprised by the final score of the game for Texas beating Oklahoma by over 30 points this weekend.

Chester told Inside Texas that he feels like Texas is "clearly the best team in the country right now". He's confident that there isn't anyone out there in the college football landscape right now that can beat Sarkisian and the Longhorns.

Elijah "Bo" Barnes, LB (Texas commit)

Multiple Texas commits in the 2025 class noticed and were impressed by the dominant defensive effort for the Longhorns on the field against OU on Saturday afternoon at the Cotton Bowl. Despite the slow start for the offense, Texas's depth and talent (especially on the defensive side of the ball) ultimately smothered a hapless OU offense that didn't get in the end zone a single time yesterday.

If anyone noticed and was expressive about Texas's impressive production on the defensive side of the ball against Oklahoma in the 34-3 win this weekend among the 2025 commits, it was high-four-star Dallas (TX) Skyline linebacker Elijah "Bo" Barnes.

The No. 1 linebacker recruit in the nation in the 2025 class, according to On3, said that Texas's defense "was elite" and the linebacker play was spectacular in yesterday's win. Hill had a career day for the Longhorns' defense, registering double-digit combined tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble against Oklahoma.
