This weekend, No. 3 Texas football topped the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies in a big double-digit win on the road in College Station in the first Lone Star Showdown rivalry since the 2011 season. Texas secured a berth to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on Dec. 7 against the Georgia Bulldogs and probably locked up a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff this postseason after the win over the Aggies.

Texas football eyeing another top-three-ranked recruiting class entering signing day after a big rivalry game win over Texas A&M this weekend

The win over Texas A&M for the Longhorns happened in front of dozens of visiting recruits that the Burnt Orange and Maroon are battling hard for on the trail for the 2025 class as well as in future cycles. Texas did what it needed to show those recruits the tone this program is setting for the future years in the SEC with the immediate success in this conference this fall.

On3's Steve Wiltfong reports that he entered multiple On3 RPM picks for the Longhorns to land top blue-chip recruiting targets in the 2025 class before signing day, as Texas is looking for a No. 1 class for this cycle.

With signing day right around the corner next week, the Longhorns have a ton of momentum on the field and the recruiting trail at the right time. Here are five key recruits and visitors for the Longhorns impressed by the rivalry win in College Station last night over Texas A&M.

Zaden Krempin, OL

In-state four-star 2026 offensive line target Zaden Krempin has watched the Longhorns' offensive line play as in-person visitor for gamedays in the past two weeks.

Krempin was impressed by Texas's comfortable double-digit win last weekend on Senior Day at DKR over the Kentucky Wildcats, where the Longhorns' interior O-Line was pushing bodies around to account for over 250 team rushing yards in the 31-14 victory on Nov. 23.

For the second week in a row, the Longhorns impressed Krempin with their ability to set the tone in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Texas rushed for over 200 yards for the second week in a row while Texas A&M was held to just 98 rushing yards and under three yards per carry.

Krempin has visited Texas multiple times since last offseason. He's also seen the Longhorns play in-person this fall at least three times for gameday visits.
