The Sporting News has just released its annual preseason All-American lists for 2025, and the Longhorns are well represented.

Texas is heading into the year as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation according to the most recent coaches' poll. Though this is an incredibly huge honor, the team undoubtedly has the type of coaching staff and overall talent on both sides of the ball to live up to the hype.

According to The Sporting News, two Longhorn offensive players and three defensive players made their official list.

First team

QB Arch Manning

LB Anthony Hill Jr.

S Michael Taaffe

Second team

DE Colin Simmons

RB Tre Wisner

Manning and Wisner appear to be the leaders of an offense that looks to take over the SEC in 2025, alongside a talented group of pass-catchers headlined by Ryan Wingo, DeAndre Moore, and Jack Endries.

As long as the Longhorns' offensive line holds up this season, both Manning and Wisner could have incredibly big seasons for Steve Sarkisian and Co.

It's no secret that Michael Taaffe and Anthony Hill Jr. are two of the best players in the nation at their respective positions, and there's a good chance that they'll be even more productive in 2025 than they were in 2024, which would be insane.

Colin Simmons doesn't really need an introduction, as he was one of the top pass rushers in all of college football last season as a true freshman. He's an absolute nightmare for any offensive tackle to go against due to his hand-fighting skills and hip flexibility at the point of attack. Everything's aligning for Simmons to have his first double-digit sack year in 2025, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him win multiple national awards at the end of the season.
