Alright, who's ready for some pigskin? Later this month, Texas football will head to Columbus to take on Ohio State and this matchup is going to have everyone talking. As it turns out, it's going to be a historic battle too leading up to kickoff.

In case you missed it, the preseason coaches poll was released on Monday, with your Longhorns checking in at No. 1 in the country. The Buckeyes are right behind UT at No. 2. So, for the Aug. 30 showdown, it'll be No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the season-opener? That's exactly the case and it'll be the first time ever that kind of a matchup will be on the way in Week 1:

Texas vs. Ohio State in Week 1 is now going to be a historic showdown

Get your popcorn ready for what's going to be an unreal matchup. Texas is hard at work prepping for this one, but some unfortunate news just came in. Per multiple reports, right tackle Andre Cojoe suffered a serious knee injury and he's now lost for the season.

With so much inexperience up front, this is the last thing Steve Sarkisian and his coaching staff wanted to see. Despite that, plenty of playmakers have been looking strong early on at camp. We don't have to tell you that a ton of attention the rest of the summer will be on Arch Manning.

The former 5-star prospect is getting ready for Year 1 as the starter for this team and the Heisman hype is already through the roof. Arch has people all over Austin - and the state as a whole for that matter - dreaming of a magical season being on the way.

It will all start with a dance on the road against Ohio State. With a convincing win, Texas will prove to everyone else around the globe that this team is as good as advertised and they deserve respect moving forward. Just like all of you, we can't wait for Aug. 30 to get here.
