5 most important visiting recruits for Texas vs. Kentucky
Michael Fasusi, OT (OU commit)
The headlining visitor for the Longhorns for the Kentucky game this weekend is Texas's top in-state offensive tackle priority recruit in the 2025 class, five-star Oklahoma Sooners commit Michael Fasusi.
Texas has been in consistent communication with the elite offensive tackle recruit from Lewisville (TX) High School, Fasusi, since he committed to the Sooners in late August a few months ago. Fasusi is scheduled to visit Texas this weekend for the Kentucky game. And it looks like he's expected to visit College Station unofficially next weekend for the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry game.
It was telling earlier this week when Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables said in a press conference that any Sooner commitments who are taking visits to other schools aren't viewed by their staff as being fully pledged to them.
The struggles on the field, combined with the uncertainty surrounding OU's coaching staff entering next offseason, gives the Longhorns a realistic shot at flipping Fasusi's commitment before signing day in the 2025 class in early December.
Zaden Krempin, OL
The in-state crop of offensive linemen that Kyle Flood and the Longhorns are targeting early in the 2026 class have plenty of gifted priority offers in the mix entering next offseason. Five-star offensive tackle John Turntine is Texas's top priority in-state along the offensive line in the 2026 class.
Among the other priority in-state OL targets for Flood and the Longhorns in the 2026 class this fall, Prosper (TX) four-star Zaden Krempin is one to watch heading into next offseason.
Texas is in the mix among the top schools early on in Krempin's recruitment. Flood and the Longhorns have done well recruiting and developing talent along the offensive line for the past few years.
Krempin has made multiple unofficial visits to Texas since last summer. This will be his second visit this fall to see Texas play in a game for the Kentucky matchup this weekend.
It's noteworthy that senior Texas center Jake Majors is a product of Prosper High School in the North DFW Metroplex, which could help the Longhorns' efforts in the recruitment for Krempin in the 2026 class.
