Texas football has remained in the fight to try and flip the elite five-star Lewisville (TX) offensive tackle and Oklahoma Sooners commit Michael Fasusi on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class this fall. Texas and Kyle Flood have stayed in consistent communication with Fasusi for the past few months, trying to chip away at his commitment to the Sooners before signing day on Dec. 4.

Top-ranked 5-Star OT committed to OU, Michael Fasusi, visiting Texas football at DKR for Week 13 vs. Kentucky

It looks like Flood and the Longhorns will get one more shot at trying to flip Fasusi's commitment from the Sooners before signing day in a few weeks in early December.

Per Horns247, Fasusi will be taking an unofficial gameday visit to Texas for the matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats at DKR on Nov. 23. Since the Kentucky game this upcoming weekend is the Longhorns' final home game of the regular season, this one promises to be a big group of visiting recruits in the stands at DKR in Austin from the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes.

Fasusi officially visited Texas during the summer. He also took multiple unofficial visits to Texas since last fall.

Texas currently has five offensive linemen committed to the 2025 class, including one true offensive tackle (Loganville Grayson four-star Nick Brooks). Fasusi is the top priority among flip targets in-state for Flood and the Longhorns along the offensive line in the 2025 class late this fall.

Along with the Longhorns, the Texas A&M Aggies have also been making a big push to try and chip away at his commitment to Oklahoma this fall on the trail.

Texas is trying to take advantage of Oklahoma's issues finding success in the win column this season. Oklahoma has pitched Fasusi on the ability to come in and make an immediate impact with early playing time along the offensive line.
